Treasure Island Resort & Casino is one of Minnesota s only themed casinos and one of the largest non-smoking casino resorts in the Midwest. With the enactment of the 1988 Federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, the casino added 250 slot machines and nearly 10 blackjack tables. Tradewinds Buffet and Java s Restaurant, a full-service dining room, and Toucan Harry s sports bar began operation. In 1994 Treasure Island opened its 137-slip marina on Sturgeon Lake, and added a recreational vehicle park that accommodates up to 95 RV with hookups for water, sewage and electricity.
